  • Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle hosts a gun and militaria show from 10 to 5 today and tomorrow.

  • Carbondale celebrates OktoberFest in the 4th Street Plaza from 11am to 9:30pm.

  • The Glenwood Masonic Lodge celebrates 130 years with guided tours beginning at noon.

  • Carbondale’s Dandelion Market celebrates its grand reopening from noon to 4.

  • Pitkin County Library offers a self-publishing workshop at 3.

  • Carbondale Creamery & Cafe hosts a fall fun celebration from 3 to 6.

  • Baby Driver shows at the Crystal Theatre at 5 and Maudie shows at 7:30.

  • KDNK broadcasts the Journalist Roundtable at 5.

  • Edward Hamlin, winner of the Colorado Book Award, presents at Explore Booksellers in Aspen at 5:30.

  • Windwalkers hosts a BBQ with Iraq War Veteran Dan Nevins at 5. Nevins will also guide meditation and yoga on Sunday at 11.

  • Emotional Rescue covers the Rolling Stones at the Glenwood Caverns at 6.

  • The Wheeler Opera House hosts open mic poetry at 7:30.

  • Comedian Troy Walker performs at The Temporary in Willits at 8.

Raleigh Burleigh was raised in the historic floodplanes of Satank. The Carbondale Rotary Club sponsored him as a youth ambassador to Chile the year before his graduation from Roaring Fork High School. He studied International Affairs and Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder then applied those studies traveling throughout South America the following year. Returning to Carbondale thereafter, Raleigh acquired an internship with KDNK News which led to the opportunity to serve as News Director from 2017 to 2019. After another trip to South America in early 2019, Raleigh Burleigh drew deeper into the confluence as Program Director at KDNK. Raleigh now serves on KDNK's board of directors and as editor of Carbondale's weekly newspaper, The Sopris Sun.
