  • All six branches of the Garfield County Libraries are closed today for staff training. Normal hours will resume tomorrow.  

  • Speckled Feather Mercantile in Silt offers an embroidery workshop from 5:30 to 7.

  • The Aspen Noise Singing Group meets at the Aspen Chapel from 5:30 to 6:30, all ages and abilities are welcome.

  • The Carbondale Board of Trustees meets at 6.

  • The Basalt City Council meets at 6.

  • The Third Street Center in Carbondale hosts Food Tauwk with Whole Foods Chef Helen Sandler at 6:30.

  • Drinks with the Roaring Fork Valley Young Democrats meets at the Glenwood Springs Brew Garden at 6:30.

  • The Aspen Weekly Writers’s Group meets at the Red Brick Center in Aspen at 7.

  • The Geeks Who Drink Pub Quiz begins at 7:30 at the Grind in Glenwood Springs.

  • And The Zoo Keeper’s Wife plays at the Crystal Theatre at 7:30.

  • On Wednesday, at noon, the Pitkin County Commissioners meet.

  • On Thursday, CMC Spring Valley hosts a Growing Our Own Future sustainaibilty conference and dinner from 12:30 to 6:30.

  • In conjunction with Carbondale’s Spring Cleaning and E-Waste Day, Saturday April 29th, the Carbondale Police Department will collect expired prescription drugs from 10am to 2pm.

  • Also on Saturday, the Thunder River Theatre Company premieres Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse at 4.
