Community Calendar for November 8, 2016

The Community Calendar on KDNK is underwritten by the Mount Sopris Rotary Club. Rotary is holding a raffle, with all proceeds going to dental care for local children in need. Prizes include a 3-day trip to Denver with hotel and Broncos tickets. For more information, contact Pat Pier at 987-3265.

The Garfield County Clerk and Recorder's offices in Glenwood Springs and Rifle are offering election services only today. License plate transactions, birth or marriage certificates, and other services resume tomorrow.
 
You can drop ballots off at various Voter Service and Polling Centers throughout Garfield county today, including Carbondale Town Hall, the Glenwood Springs Community Center, New Castle, Silt, and Parachute Libraries and the Garfield County Courthouse and Rifle Administration building. If you live in the Eagle County portion of the Roaring Fork Valley, the voter service center is the Eagle County Community Center in El Jebel. If you have a problem while voting today, witness something you don’t think is right, or just have a question related to voting and the election, Colorado Election Protection has set up a bilingual hotline. Volunteer legal advisors from the Colorado Lawyers Committeeare taking calls until the polls close at 7 tonight at 866 OUR VOTE. That’s 866.687.8683.

November 9, Valley LIfe for Alland the Center for Independence present Empower to be Independent: Resources and Skills for Hearing, Vision and Memory Challenges at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale from 1:30 to 3:30. The workshop is free.
