Basalt Library hosts a workshop on Medicare Basics from 5:15 to 7 with information about the four parts of medicare, enrollment periods, what to do if you still have employer coverage, late enrollment penalties and who pays what. The session is recommended for anyone who turns 65 within the next year or wants to know their own or a family member’s Medicare options.
Tonight and each First Monday, the Town of Carbondale’s Bike, Pedestrian and Trails Commission meets at 6 PM at Town Hall.

From 7 to 8:30 at True Nature Healing Arts, the Monday Night Meditation Group offers instruction in the Buddhist practice of Vipassana, or Insight Meditation, and introduces the practices of awareness and compassion. The group is appropriate for beginning and experienced students.
