Carbondale’s Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday. Carbondale residents can drop off hazardous waste at 4th Street and Colorado Avenue from 8:30am to 1pm tomorrow, October 14.

The 95-day closure of the Grand Avenue Bridge in Glenwood Springs, which began today, means big changes in traveling habits for those who have to cross the Colorado River daily to get from home to work and back again. The City of Glenwood Springs and Garfield County offices have changed their business hours. And, as KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh found out, so has Carbondale. CORRECTION: The Town of Carbondale is open from 7 AM to 6 PM Monday through Thursday.

Carbondale water users will see a slight increase in rates on their August bills. KDNK’s Amy Hadden Marsh talked to town public works director Kevin Shoresman to find out why. You can find more information about the town's water rates by clicking here.

The Carbondale Board of Town Trustees considers a resolution on immigration introduced by local students. The resolution addresses ongoing fear held by immigrants in our community, especially in regards to local law enforcement. KDNK’s Raleigh Burleigh reports.

Margaret Donnelly of the Town of Carbondale about the 2nd Annual Where My Peeps At Photo Scavenger Hunt. Then we speak to three young directors whose recent short films are included in this year's Aspen Shortsfest competition. The cherry on top this time was a great string band from Glenwood Springs, the Lookout Mountain Showdown. This Express Yourself was tasty and filling.
