Weekly News Brief: Energy InvestmentSeptember 28, 2012
The Carbondale board of trustees approved a resolution this week that allocated $80,000 dollars to an upcoming energy efficiency campaign. Two area non-profits CORE and CLEER will be starting a new program this fall to aid and educate both private citizens and businesses in ways to decrease their energy usage. They plan to do this in part by using rebates and incentives, as well as coaching and community engagement.
On this week's News Brief, KDNK's Eric Skalac spoke to Lynn Burton of the Sopris Sun about the board's response to the program and about why the mayor voted against it.
