KDNK News seeks a reporter/producer.KDNK News is looking for a dynamic reporter/producer. There are not many reporting jobs like this. In all the best ways it's like reporting for your college newspaper. But with the pay, support and time to do the high quality journalism that is eroding from mainstream media.
The right person for the job will be able to work as a generalist, but also have some beat reporting experience. The reporter/producer will be responsible for a series of spots, interviews and features on a weekly basis.
The candidate will also be given the time to drill down on an explanatory/investigative series once a month. The reporter/producer will work in collaboration with KDNK staff and other media outlets to produce the highest quality journalism, telling a story in multiple platforms.
We're looking for a solid journalist with quality clips. Radio/TV experience preferred, but not essential. Some familiarity with the public radio system and filing to NPR, or other national programs is a plus. Spanish and multimedia skills are preferred.
