  • Basalt Library is hoppin’ today with First Wednesday Book Club from noon to 2, summer of STEAM from 2 to 3, a screening of the kids movie Moana en Espanol from 5 to 7, and another book review club starting at 6.

  • Snowmass Rodeo gets started with BBQ at 5 and rodeo events starting at 7.

  • At 6, the Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra play the Benedict Music Tent in Aspen.

  • Smokin’ Joe and Zoe play the Sage Bar in the Snowmass Club at 6.

  • The Summer of Music Series at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs starts at 6:30 tonight with openers Nanama. Battle of Santiago plays at 7:30.

  • Roaring Fork Conservancy leads a nature walk through Filoha Meadows along the Crystal River above Redstone starting at 7. Registration is required at roaring fork dot org.

  • Heathers in Basalt hosts Larry and Patty Herd at 7.

  • It’s Bingo night at the Eagles Lodge in Glenwood Springs, starting at 7.

  • Aspen Film’s indie showcase lands at the Isis Theatre in Aspen at 7:30 with a screening of A Quiet Passion.

  • Wonder Woman continues at the Crystal Theatre in Carbondale at 7:30.

  • The musical Hairspray is presented at Hurst Theatre in Aspen at 7:30.

  • The Takacs Quartet perform a recital at the Aspen Music Festival and School at 8:30.

  • Live music with The Memphis Strange at Justice Snow’s in Aspen at 9.

  • Damian Smith and Dennis Jung play Red Onion in Aspen at 9.

  • Local band Callin Old Souls, featuring KDNK DJs Cody Lee and Kenailo, play The Black Nugget in Carbondale at 9:30.

  • And Blues Traveler play Belly Up Aspen at 10.

Looking ahead…

  • On First Friday July 7th, join KDNK between 3 and 7pm for an open house and artist reception featuring local landscapes from Colorfulcrow Photography, aka Ape on the Dink, host of the Wild Rumpus on Friday mornings. We are celebrating new creative uses of the KDNK building thanks to our rezoning.

  • Tune in Sunday July 9th from 4 to 7pm for another live broadcast from the Summer Music Series in Sopris Park. This month Let them Roar and Dangermuffin perform live in the park, presented by the Town of Carbondale and Steve's Guitars.
