  • Smokin Joe and Zoe play the Limelight in Aspen at 4:30.
  • Aspen School District art students supply the ceramic bowls for an Empty Bowls dinner from 5 – 7 at Bumps at Buttermilk to benefit Lift-Up.
  • Kendall Bakich, CPW fisheries biologist, talks genetic and historic research of Colorado’s cutthroat trout at 5:30 at the Third Street Center.
  • The Basalt Library screens Steven Spielberg’s BFG in Spanish with English subtitles at 5:30.
  • Sustainable Settings presents Planting with the Biodynamic Calendar from 6 to 9 PM. Rose is taking registrations at 963.6107.    
  • ACES presentsChile, Peru & Argentina: Adventure, Avalanche Training & Giving Back with Greg Shaffran at 7.
  • Aspen Film presents Things to Come, starring Isabelle Huppert, at the Isis at 7:30.
  • Lion screens at the Crystal at 7:30.
  • The Americana Music Series begins tonight at 9 at Justice Snow's in Aspen.  Stay tuned to KDNK for interviews with some of the artists, starting this Friday on Express Yourself.

Looking ahead...

  • Colorado Humanities offers a focus group from 10 to 11:30 AM Thursday March 2 at the Element Hotel in Willits to help design future programs.
  • The Bureau of Land Management’s Northwest Resource Advisory Council meets from 8 AM to 3 PM Thursday at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, with public comment from 10 to 2. Agenda items include a discussion of pipeline permitting on BLM lands.
  • And speaking of pipeline, the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board presents pipeline safety tips with Summit Midstream, which is currently operating in Battlement Mesa, at 6 PM Thursday at the Garfield County Administration Building in Rifle.
