  • The Sopris Sun invites mothers that have had a child within the past twelve months to join a free photo shoot from 10am to 3pm at the Third Street Center in Carbondale.

  • Providence Apothecary presents “Intro to Higher-Self Care” with Donna Lee Humble from 1 to 3pm in Glenwood Springs.

  • The annual “Blessing of Bicycles” will be held at 2 at the Third Street Center in Carbondale.

  • Kids and teens are invited to meet local author Nicole Beinstein who will read from her book "The Middle World" at 2pm at the Carbondale Library.

  • Coredination & Bonedale Ballet presents: 4 Seasons Variations and a Mixed Repertoire Dance Performance at 2 and 6:30 today and Sunday at 2 at the Coredination Movement Studio in Carbondale. Information and tickets at 379.2187.

  • A Native American Pow Wow exhibition with dancing & drumming begins at 4pm in Aspen’s Wagner Park or at Aspen High School commons in case of bad weather.

  • The Aspen Shortsfest in underway throughout the weekend in Aspen and with showings at 5 and 7 at the Crystal Theatre in Carbondale.

  • Author and foodie Dr Joel Fuhrman lectures at 7 at Paepcke Auditorium in Aspen.

  • ACLU Colorado Executive Director Nathan Woodliff-Stanley speaks from 7 to 8:30 at the Carbondale Library.

  • And Shakedown Street, a Grateful Dead tribute band, plays at Belly Up Aspen at 9:30.

Looking ahead…

  • On Sunday, Lisa Dancing-Light hosts “One-Voice, Uniting Our Community in Song,” from 10 to 11:30am at the 3rd Street Center in Carbondale.

  • The acclaimed Go Rounds, play at Steve’s Guitars on Sunday night at 8:30 in Carbondale.

  • And 90’s cover band, The Block Busters, headline the Highlands Closing Party beginning at 9:30 at Belly Up Aspen.

  • On Monday, former Colorado state representative, Andrew Romanoff speaks at the Colorado Mountain College in Aspen from 8 to 9:15am.
