  • The Bluebird Art + Sound Festival continues at Snowmass Base Village with art installations on display and open to the public from 1 to 5.  

  • The Second Annual Wild West Fermentation Fest continues from 4 to 6 on 9th and Cooper in Glenwood Springs.

  • Wilderness Workshop hosts Wildfest, a celebration of public lands, at the Owl Farm in Woody Creek from 5 to 10 with guest speaker Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune and music by World’s Finest, the Railsplitters, and Pearl & Wood.

  • The Crystal Theatre Screens Paris Can Wait at 5:30.

  • True Nature hosts Writ Large, a story-telling exposé curated by Alya Howe, at 6.

  • Thunder River Theatre Company presents The Memory of Water at 7:30.

  • The Crystal Theatre Screens Wonder Woman at 7:30.

  • Bamboozle performs at the Black Nugget at 9:30.

  • And Belly Up Aspen features Thomas Jack with DJ Lo_G at 10.

Looking ahead…

  • The Bluebird Art + Sound Festival continues tomorrow at Snowmass Base Village with guided meditation at 4 and music from 5 to 10pm.

  • Also on Sunday, Steve’s Guitars hosts a Bluegrass Jam Session beginning at 6 with a performance by Upstate NY’s Driftwood at 8:30.

  • And calling all bird-enthusiasts! ACES sponsors a Raptor Fair at Hallam Lake on Monday from 3pm to 5pm with a formal presentation at 4:30.

Raleigh Burleigh was raised in the historic floodplanes of Satank. The Carbondale Rotary Club sponsored him as a youth ambassador to Chile the year before his graduation from Roaring Fork High School. He studied International Affairs and Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder then applied those studies traveling throughout South America the following year. Returning to Carbondale thereafter, Raleigh acquired an internship with KDNK News which led to the opportunity to serve as News Director from 2017 to 2019. After another trip to South America in early 2019, Raleigh Burleigh drew deeper into the confluence as Program Director at KDNK. Raleigh now serves on KDNK's board of directors and as editor of Carbondale's weekly newspaper, The Sopris Sun.
