On Thursday night, September 22nd, Colorado Wild Public Lands hosted a candidate forum featuring a dozen candidates seeking to represent the area on county commissions, in the state legislature and in Congress. Wilderness Workshop and Roaring Fork Conservancy co-presented and KDNK setup and ran the audio. Randy Essex, editor and publisher of the Post Independent, moderated. Over 150 people attended.
Guests included Gail Schwartz, candidate for Congress, state legislators Diane Mitsch Bush and Millie Hamner, state senate candidate Emily Tracy, Garfield County Commissioner John Martin, his opponent John Acha, Eagle County Commissioners Kathy Chandler-Henry and Jill Ryan, plus their opponents Rick Beveridge and Michael Dunahay, along with Pitkin County Commissioner candidates Greg Poschman and Scott Writer.
