Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies was our Nonprofit Spotlight on Monday evening. The nonprofit distributed more than 5 million meals last year across 10 western Colorado counties. Their mobile pantry in Aspen will be distributing food in the parking lot of the U.S. Forest Service Ranger Station on Thursday September 15th starting at 11AM. Starlene Collins, manager of Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies says, "Public radio is so important, because people want to help. By connecting with public radio and the service that you provide, and the information that you provide, people find out where to not only give help, but they also find out ways to get help."
