Pitkin County Commissioners will honor six outstanding Roaring Fork Valley residents today with Pitkin County Cares Volunteer Service Awards. The honorees are Tom McCabe, Anne Blackwell, Rita Cohen, Jane Carey, Mauricio Sosa and Elizabeth de Wetter. The reception and ceremony are at the Pitkin County Library from 11 AM to 1 PM.
The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association hosts the annual "Issues and Answers Forum" beginning at 5PM at Glenwood Springs City Hall. Confirmed candidates include: Republican incumbent State Sen. Randy Baumgardner and Democratic challenger Emily Tracy, Incumbent 9th Judicial District Attorney Sherry Caloia and opponents Republican Jeff Cheney and independent Chip McCrory, incumbent Garfield County Commissioner, Republican John Martin and Democratic challenger John Acha, and Gail Schwartz, Democratic candidate for Colorado's 3rd congressional district. Congressman Scott Tipton will not attend. State initiatives and Glenwood Springs ballot questions will also be discussed. That's at 5 PM at Glenwood Springs City Hall. KMTS Radio will broadcast live.

Marble Distilling in Carbondale presents Trivia Night at 7.
New documentary “The Beatles: 8 Days a Week” screens at the Crystal Theatre at 7:30.
