  • KDNK’s annual Labor of Love auction and Holiday Bazaar is finally here! Join us tonight at the Village Smithy from 5 to 9. Auction items include Aspen Ski Co passes, Avalanche hockey tickets, a Les Paul guitar, Hunter S Thompson artifacts, a week in San Miguel de Allende, a 150-square foot stone patio and garden, plus massages, salon treatments, artwork, baked goodies, and more. Pre-registration has ended but you can register at the door. See you there!

  • First Friday offers holiday events and sales along Main Street, including Light Up Carbondale from 3 to 7. At the Launchpad, Sol Theatre presents selections from its upcoming production of “Elf” and there will be a fire and hot chocolate at the 4th Street Plaza with music from Mark Grey’s Carbondale Middle School Band.

  • The Aspen-Sopris Ranger District is open until 6 tonight for Christmas tree permit sales and early holiday shopping at 620 Main in Carbondale. Santa will light the tree on the corner at 5.

  • You can be a part of Carbondale’s community-wide group hug at 4th and Main at 6.

  • The Carbondale Clay Center holds its annual cup auction from 6 - 9 tonight.

  • Across the street, Children's Rocky Mountain School hosts an open house from 6 to 8 with tours of their new facility and enrollment info.

  • Sopris Theatre Company at CMC Spring Valley opens The Seafarer at 7.

  • The Crystal Theatre presents the Wild and Scenic Film Fest this weekend, sponsored by the Thompson Divide Coalition. Tonight’s 7:30 show is sold out but there are tickets available for Saturday’s matinee at 4:30. More info at save thompson divide dot org.

  • Steve Skinner and The Free Agents play Marble Distilling in Carbondale at 8.

  • And Berkel Beats returns to Belly Up Aspen with GeoDecibel opening at 9.
