Immigration: The Consequences of Enforcement

News: A broken friendship, part one of a series

Over the past few months, KDNK has reported on a number of early-morning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. The raids target immigrants with the goal of deporting them. But sometimes, they get it wrong targeting people here legally; in one recent instance, a U.S. citizen. It all points to the challenges that face the nation's murky immigration system.

Today we begin a week-long series about how that system, and those raids in particular, are playing out here in the valley. And we'll start out with a three-part look at how a raid in April split apart two friends. KDNK's Mathew Katz reports.
