Interview: Ruth Zancanella discusses her childhood in Carbondale


The Roaring Fork Valley has changed in a lot of ways over the past hundred years, and Ruth Zancanella (zan-KUN-ella) has seen it all happen. She's 97 years old, and has lived in the Valley her entire life. As part of our month-long series on local history, KDNK's Mathew Katz spoke to Ruth about what it was like to grow up in Carbondale in the early 20th century.
